So i got fired from my job yesterday. Didnt see it coming. Beth calls me into the back and brings up an incident from weeks ago, that i thought was already resolved. apparently it wasnt. but the timing really couldnt have been worse. ive been working there for almost a year, and neither of my parents have seen where i work, much less seen me in action, which is half the fun. Now my mom has dates set to come down and visit me, and the same day she informs me of this, i get fired.
im also moving into a new much bigger house in september, and we have to put down a 3600 deposit in a little while. no idea how im going to be able to manage that.
and i was really starting to get good at my job, and i enjoyed it quite a bit. thought i was a good employee.

So on Saturday i was in the park in Maplewood with some friends climbing trees. Were good at it and we do it alot. Except this time I was being stupid. I was about 15 feet off the ground, and going higher. I was reaching up for a branch, i had to really reach to get it. I almost had it but before i could get a grip on it, my foot slipped...
You know how when you trip on something, you can feel every agonizing second being dragged out, and yet have no control over the inevitable pain that you know deep down in your gut is coming?
The second i felt my foot slip i went into a state of instantaneous panic. I knew how far from the ground i was.
I went straight down. I felt the air rushing past me and the fingers of my right hand on the trunk. Then i felt a searing pain in my right hip and realized i had hit a branch. That bounced me in such a way that i was now looking straight down. I saw the ground come up so fast i dont think my brain even registered it until after i had hit the ground. And what a hit it was. I landed on my arm first. After a second my stomach caught up with me and i got up. I looked up at where i was. I could not believe i had fallen that far without breaking a bone.
This had all happened in less than a second.
After looking it over, we concluded that i had fallen a total of about 15 feet. The branch i collided with was about 7 feet from where i started, which meant that i fell 8 feet straight down after bouncing off that damn branch.
Fun stuff that tree climbing business...

So yesterday were the PSATs. Woo-freaking-hoo. It was pretty easy but there were some hard questions. I fuckin suck at the Writing Skills part tho. Its almost as if i dont have a first language. Im so bad at english its my second language.
I took the next 2 hours of my drivers test thingie today. It was raining. Again. I guess its good to learn in the rain cuz when i wanna drive and its raining my dad cant use the old "No Henry, its raining. Driving is alot harder in the rain" line. I can say "Fuck you i learned in rain! Im driving!" I swear ill say that. I will... You dont believe me? Watch...
It seriously needs to stop raining...

So today i took the written part of my drivers test and had the first 2 hours of behind the wheel training today. The test was really easy. I only got 3 questions wrong. Then i got my permit validated etc. and got behind the wheel. For the most part it was pretty straight forward but theres way more stuff to pay attention to than i expected... I had a cool instructor tho. Im takin my next 2 hours on thursday.

So im sittin here watching the Fairly Oddparents and drinkin a Mikes hard lemonade (good stuff). Im taking thee written portion of my drivers test tomorrow. Wish me luck. Its kinda funny cuz i couldnt give a flying fuck about schoolwork yet im studying my ass off for my drivers test. Kinda illustrates how fucked up my priorities are. Oh well
Id like to end this entry with a quote: i was walking down the stairs at school and passed a small group of middle schoolers and all i caught of what they were saying was "...but I still have to bend over."
